Aunt Maria is a folk artist and storyteller of children's books. The true stories are of children and animals on my farm where Aunt Maria and Uncle Omar have lived for 45 years. She wrote her first book in 1987 and stuck it back in a drawer. The book and all were forgotten until 2004, during a period of mourning following the deaths of her mother and a brother. She decided it was time to get back to work. She picked up her pen and a piece of scrap paper and wrote "Ms. Henny and Mr. Squirrel". All of her books are hand-written and filled with drawings and watercolor pictures in the Folk Art Style. She now has five books and one coloring book.
